Peachy-keen on Gold, Violet, & Freshwater Blue

Sooo this is a gorgeous look I have in store. I know MAC makes a blush called Peachykeen, but I am not speaking of that blush.

For a while now I have owned one of the Lorac Blushes in Exposed which is a nice Baked/Matte/Satin blush. Lorac makes a whole line of Baked/Matte/Satin blushes in different colors but my favorite one is Exposed. Its actually the only one of the Lorac blushes I happen to have, but I think the quality of these is superb, and the colors are unique and gorgeous. I do think the color in the pan translates well on the cheek, and the packaging is sleek, slim, and simple, easy to open, and doesn't take up space in your make up stash...I don't typically buy Lorac, if ever, but this blush just pulled me in. I odn't know how I wound up at this section of Sephora.

I have used this blush in a few looks now, but this is the first time I really spoke of it as the star of the show....the eyes are a big focus in this look, but the cheeks help it pop. Exposed is a nice peachy-pink color that is neither too peach or to cool of a pink...it doesn't leave a shimmery finish that a lot of baked or mineralize blushes tend to leave, and is not too matte which can be hard to blend. It's a nice pearly-satin without too much shine or shimmery undertone, and the color pay off is fabulous...a light stroke of this on the cheek bone is all you need. If you happen to get a little extra on the cheek it doesn't drag, or get smeary, chalky or too bright. If you aren't into the dewey look, I am afraid exposed really brightens the face up, and seems to make it gleam, but not in a bad oily type of way...

So on with the loooooookkkk...

1. Prep and prime the face, the lids, the lips...

2. No take MAC's Rubenesque Paint Pot (gold paint pot) and apply to the lids, you can pat it on with your fingertip.

3. Now take MAC's Reflects Gold Pigment (white glitter pigment with a gold reflection) and pat it over Rubnesque Paint Pot while its still wet. This will keep the shimmery pigment from falling out onto the face.

4. Now take Urban Decay's 24/7 crayon in Yeyo (shimmery white) and apply it into the tear duct, the inner crease line, and the lower waterline.

5. Now take MAC's Pearlglide Liner in Designer Purple (Art Supplies Collection-violet with gold shimmer) and apply it to the lower lashline, the outer crease line, and smudge it out with the MAC 219.

6. Now take the MAC 222 (tapered blender) and Make Up Forever's #92 and smoke out the very outer corner of the eye with the color over Rubenesque, and bring it up into the crease where Designer Purple Pearlglide is, and smooth out the #92 color above the crease. Using the MAC 219 and #92 smudge out the lower lashline on top of Designer Purple as well.

7. Now take MAC's Freshwater eyeshadow (bright blue with shimmer) and the MAC 222 (tapered blending brush) and in the inner crease smooth out the color right over Yeyo, and blend inward towards the #92 color. The colors should meet and blend out in an ombre effect, and not have a harsh line.

8. Now take MAC's eyeshadow in Winkle (periwinkle blue-satin finish) and blend out the very inner crease, and smooth out on top of Freshwater, just to soften it up a touch.

10. Now take Urban Decay's eyeshadow in ABC Gum (peachy nude eyeshadow) and pat it on top of the brow bone and blend it downward so it smooths right on top of the crease colors so there isn't any harsh lines or unblended areas.

11. Now take Urban Decay's in Polyester Bride or White Rabbit, and pat it on top of ABC Gum in just the inner corner of the brow bone area. Smooth it on top of the Yeyo 24/7 crayon in the tear duct, pull the color up toward the brow bone, so the color fades along that area continuosly.

12. Now take Urban Decay's eyeshadow in Oil Slick or Jabberwocky (shimmery black) and the MAC 217 placement and blender brush, and in the very outer corner smoke out the eye. Take a make up remover wipe or Q-tip and smooth away fall out, and shadows, so that the shadows pull out in a sultry effect.

13. Take a purple glitter liner and line on top of the lower lashline.

14. Use MAC's Blacktrack Fluidline and line the upper lashline, and pull the gel liner up into a winged effect on the sides. Set with a black eyeshadow.

15. Using Andrea's Modlashes in #28 (glossy, and winged on the sides) and apply to the upper lash line with clear glue. You can get these from Sally's or a drugstore.

16. Using Lorac's Blush in Exposed (peachy-pink) apply to the cheekbones with a contour angled brush.

17. Apply MAC's Iridescent Loose Powder in Silver Dusk (porcelain palest pink with silver sparkle) and a faintail like the Artnet (I love that fantail truly) and apply to cheekbones and nose bridge.

18. Fill in brows.

19. Take Urban Decay's 24/7 crayon in Wicked (bright light pink) and contour lips, and define them.

20. Take Lady Gaga's Viva Glam from MAC (bright light pink lustre finish) and fill in lips.

21. Now take Urban Decay's Ultraglide lipgloss in Lust (sugar cookie flavor-light pink with gold shimmer) and dab on top.
