So...when I was at IMATS I also picked up a Mehron palette. I walked over to the booth to see what they had to offer. They had aqua eyeshadows sold individually, cream blushes sold individually camoflauge palettes, paint color wheels, eyelashes (I got two pairs), blush, lip, and eyeshadow palettes, as well as blush/eyeshadow combo palettes. That was what was available when I approached the booth. But I approached the Mehron booth at 2:00 on Sunday, so that explains a lot.

Due to the intentions and uses of both Kryolan and Mehron, make up artists consider the companies rivals, or competitors. A lot of make up artists kits are home of both products, wether the make up artisist is a beauty/glam artist or a stage make up artist.
In my opinion, from what I own of Kryolan and Mehron (which isn't a lot) I enjoy both companies products. Kryolan's colors are pigmented and easy to apply as are Mehron's. Kryolan's and Mehron's water based sets both look like a childs Crayola paint set, and the powder sets have nice size pots wiht highly pigmented colors. Its hard to say what I like more because I didn't purchase products from the two companies that I feel are comparable. From Kryolan I bought the Interferenze palette, and from Mehron I bought the #207-TPAL or the Eyeshadow & Blushtone Combo palette.
When I saw that the colors in the Mehron palette looked nice, and I'd been wanted to try a palette of theirs I bought this one, so I could try more than one item of theirs. The consistency and pigmentation of all the shadows in the palette are matte and highly pigmented, and blend so well. I didn't get an Aquacolor palette from Mehron because I bought my Aquacolor palette from Kryolan earlier that same day, and I wasn't sure how I would like the Aquapalettes, or how long it would take me to get the hang of them.
I wish I had hit up the Mehron booth earlier because I really like the Aquacolors. I would like to see how Mehron's compare. Or that I had at least bought the indivual ones. Darn!!
Sooooo on with the look...
1. Clearly the tutorial is called The War Is Over. So this is a Bloooodddddyyyy red look from eyes to lips...With no winner, as war kills people from both sides...As always prep and prime the face. Apply eyeshadow primer and lip conditioner....
2. Apply Kryolan's Mozart Pink color from the Interferenze palette to the lid. Spray a flat shader brush down with MAC's Fix Plus to get the color to stick to the lid.
3. Using Mehron's blushtone color in Bold Red and the MAC 217 brush start at the outer corner and blend all the way into the crease.
4. Using Mehron's Natural Wheat eyeshadow tone color and the MAC 227 blend the color from the brow bone down into the Bold Red color in the crease.
5. Using a flat shader or the MAC 217 again and NARS eyeshadow in Grenadines (maroon color) and pat over the Mozart Pink Kryolan base.
6. Uisng Mehron's eyeshadow in Black (black with faint silver sparkle) and draw an outer < shape in the outer corner. Start the first line of the < on the lashline with the 219 brush, and extend the the other or upper part of the < into the crease.
7. Using the MAC 217 brush blend the color out, and feather it in. The color should go in nicely, the Mehron colors are soooo pigmented.
8. Using MAC's Crystal Avalanche eyeshadow (crystal white) and the MAC 227, blend the outer edges of the Bold Red crease color out for a nice highlighted effect.
9. Apply MAC's Crystal Avalanche into the tearduct as well.
10. Using black mascara appply to lashes.
11. Take MAC's Blacktrackfluidline and create a medium sized continuously shaped line, and flick it out into a wing. Don't exceed eyeshadow area.
12. Take the MAC 219 brush and the Mehron Black eyeshadow and smudge it out.
13. Using MAC's Feline Kohl power pencil line the lower and upper waterline.
14. Using MAC's Brown Now Greasepaint Stick (Art Supplies-reddened brown) and line the lower lashline.
15. Using Mehron's Bold Red blushtone color smudge out the Brown Now Greasepaint Stick with the MAC 219.
16. For the outer part of the lower lashline use Mehron's Black eyeshadow and smudge out the outer corner.
17. Apply Foundation.
18. Using Make Up Forever's HD Blushes in #8 and #6, blend them equally and stipple them onto the cheeks.
19. Apply setting powder to the face.

23. Highlight under them with Urban Decay's 24/7 crayon in Yeyo (shimmery white-given to me at IMATS 2010) and smudge out with MAC's 242 conealer brush for a more natural highlight effect.
24. Using MAC's Creamstick Liner in Red Enriched (red) and apply to lips outlining them and filling them in all the way.
