Ladies of Disney: Their Make Up: Sleeping Beauty

I did this look based on the 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition case on Blue Ray and DVD disk included. Sleeping Beauty's (Princess Aurora or Bryer Rose) make up varies depending on scene, or edition of video case.

This is a nude look with a touch of pink and rose colored lips that shame the red, red rose. I did this look because it had a punch of color, and I wanted her to be a bit different from the other looks. They are each so special, and I really wanted to capture a difference in look (based on background and personality) without bringing it into an inspired by look for them even though there are obvious similarities in face structure, eyelashes, eyeshape, and make up.

There are as always a few tutorials for the Disney Princesses online, I do realize Xsparkage has done Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty, but those were editorial and inspired by looks. I love those creative tutorials, but I wanted to do the ladies of Disney as they are. Plus some tips on make up cosmetic surgery.

So here is my Sleeping Beauty. Yes I owe you face charts.

1. Moisturize the face with MAC's Studio Fix Moisturizer. My new favorite moisturizer. I purchased a long time ago one with MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation, and never had problems with it. I should have never discontinued use. I spent a year or more with break outs.

2. While it soaks into your skin for 10 minutes move onto the eyes.

3. Apply Too Faced Shadow Insurance to the lid and up to brow bone.

4. Using Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Honey Bunny (Benefit's Gabbi Collection, warm nude color) apply to the eyelid and into the crease evenly.

5. Using Bare Mineral's Eyecolor in Loyalty (Looks like MAC's eyeshadow in All That Glitters [frosty nude warm brown] in loose mineral form) to the lid and into the crease.

6. Using MAC's eyeshadow in Crystal Avalanche (frosty white) apply to brow bone with the MAC 227 (pet me) brush, and blend down to Bare Mineral's Eyecolor in Loyalty.

7. Using Bare Mineral's Eyecolor in Mystic (looks like a cross between MAC's eyeshadow Star Violet and MAC's eyeshadow Gleam-pale purple pink color in loose mineral shadow form) apply to the crease of the lid with the MAC 222 or 224 (crease/detail brushes).

8. Using Bare Mineral's eyecolor in Salsa (rich pink-looks like a cross between MAC's eyeshadow Sushi Flower and MAC's eyeshadow in Passionate in loose mineral shadow form) apply to outer corner for depth using the MAC 224.

9. Clean up outer corners with a make up remover wipe or a Q-tip with make up remover on it.

10. Using Urban's Decay's liquid liner in Pervursion (black) line the upper eyelid and bring it out and up in a wing or tail on the end.

11. Apply Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner crayon in baked (gold) to the waterline.

11. Using MAC's 219 pencil brush line under the eye with MAC's eyeshadow in Cork or Modelette (soft satin brown's).

12. Apply MAC Studio Fix mascara in Black Fix to upper and lower lashes. Apply Mr. Winks #305 lashes with clear eyelash adhesive. Pull the lashes out to the side for a winged out effect. These were the same lashes used for Ariel (Little Mermaid look) but in a different way.

13. Apply MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation (gel) in your color with the MAC 168 and stipple on a pea sized amount onto either side of your face.

14. Using MAC's Cremeblend blush in So Sweet So Easy (MAC in Lillyland Collection-Limited Edition-yellow pink) using the MAC 168 countour brush and Stipple it on the apples of the cheeks.

15. Using MAC blush in Well Dressed (immaculate pink-satin) set the creme blush on the cheeks and blend up into the hairline.

16. Using MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in your color (get matched) and set foundation, careful to avoid the blush area.

17. Using Too Faced iridescent luminize powder in Candlelight apply to countour of cheeks and forehead.

18. Sweep MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Porcelain Pink (porcelain pink) over Candlelight on the cheekbones. Use the C method. Start at forehead, and then work to under eye area. This way you have that glow she had before she pricked her finger on the spinning wheel.

19. Using MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Comfort (Warm & Cozy Collection) or Sunny By Nature (permanent collection) and do the E method. Start at forehead, and go to cheekbone under blush, and softly countour jaw line. You don't want a line of demarcation at jaw line. Sleeping Beauty's face was angled at the jaw line and she had angled cheekbones so there is a cosmetic surgery tip.

20. Apply Urban Decay's 24/7 lip crayon in Naked to lips and outline and shade in.

21. Apply MAC's Dazzleglass Creme in Creme Allure (rose red) over the lip crayon.

*Note-The Bare Mineral's Eyecolors are available individually at Sephora. Or you can purchase online at BareMinerals.com and search for the BareMineral's Bare Treasure Collector's Edition of 20 Coveted Colors for a better bargain.
