Ladies of Disney: Their Make Up: Cinderella

I had to do Cinderella...A lot of girls love her, and shes gorgeous...This look to me is a bit of a nude prom look, I used as always a lot of MAC, and um what else??? It's a surprise. It works for a more dramatic day look cause it is nude but its a full finished polished nude, and of course it also transcends well into night because of the lashes, and luscious pink lips.

When studying Cinderella's face I couldn't help but notice...this girl looks like Sleeping Beauty...A little more round than Sleeping Beauty but basically her long lost twin. I even put them head to head. Pretty much just a little more round, different make up, and different hair. So I wanted to make sure that I captured Cinderella's spirit all her own, and not recapture the Sleeping Beauty look.

So on with my nude prom look...

1. I applied Too Faced Shadow Insurance, but you can use Urban Decay Primer Potion. Let it sit a minute.

2. Ooooppsss. I skipped a step. Moisturize the face first. Let it sit ten minutes at least.

3. Apply balm, or lip conditioner, or chapstick....do lips last, but apply chapstick as a main first step so when it comes time for the lips they are soft and delicate.

4. Apply MAC's Shadestick in Nurture (Limited Edition-Warm & Cozy Collection-frosted pale neutral peach beige) to the lid and into the crease.

5. I used some Urban Decay shadows from the new Alice In Wonderland Book Of Shadows. The book has "hallucinogenic" renamed shadows. The back of the packaging says what the shadow's real names are. Even though the shadows are in existance the book is still a good steal because it is only $52.00 and it comes with a mini primer potion, 2 24/7 eye crayons one in Flipside (turquoise), one in Zero (black), and sixteen shadows, and the packaging is cute. One 24/7 crayon alone is twenty and one shadow is another twenty and primer potion is seventeen so you are already at sixty dollars there, so even if you end up duplicating some shadows its still a steal, because the books only come out once a year on average. The palettes like Ammo and Deluxe are permanent for now, and the Ammo palette may contain some shadows in the book of Alice shadows but its still a steal. If you wear black eyeliner a lot you can't have enough Zero pencils. Flipside is a repromote limited edition shadow color, and as a fun bonus it is now a 24/7 limited edition pencil.

6. I applied the shadows with my MAC brushes. I used my MAC 227 (fat fluffy highlight brush) and I dipped into White Rabbit (Polyester Bride-white with shimmer) and applied to my brow bone for a Disney shimmer highlight. I also applied into the inner tear duct.

7. I switched to my MAC 239 shader brush to pack on the lid color. Using Urban Decay's shadow in Eat Me Drink Me (Sin-taupe with velvet finish) and I packed the color on over the Nuture shadestick from MAC.

8. Using Urban Decay's shadow in Oraculem (Baked) and the MAC 217 (oval shader brush-baby sister to the MAC 222) and I shaded into the outer corner for some bronze depth in a circular motion, and pulled the color about 2/3 of the way into the crease. I just used a sweeping method for the crease.

9. Next I applied a thin stroke of Urban Decay's liquid liner in Pervursion (matte black) and stayed along the lash line. I didn't pull the tail out at all...Thats Sleeping Beauty.

10. Next I applied Urban Decay's 24/7 eye crayon in Baked (sorry sold seperately) or even Urban Decay 24/7 eye crayon would work in the following bronze colors: Honey, Lucky, or Bourbon. I then took the MAC 219 shader pencil brush (pointed dome) and used Urban Decay's Oraculem (Baked) eyeshadow and swept under the eyelash line for a shadow liner.

11. Using MAC's Studio Fix mascara in Black Fix apply to top and bottoms starting at the root lashline and wiggle up. Use vertically for bottom lashes.

12. The quitessential prom lash is MAC #3's. They are black and a little dense and pointed. See Maccosmetic.com. Type "3 lash" into the search engine on the site for reference. For a cheaper or more affordable alternative to the MAC #3 is Ardell's lashes in Gisele from the Runway collection or Ardell's #131's. If you can't find either, I would resort to Ardell's Pixies, I think those are the easiest to find from Ardell out of the options of Ardell lashes that resemble MAC #3's. Between Gisele and #131 its personal preference. They are sooooo similar. The Ardell's are also a good alternative if you don't know how to use lashes or a beginner to lashes because you won't be wasting a lot of money figuring out lashes. They are great quality. 100% human hair. Bang for your buck. MAC's lashes are good but are thirteen dollars a piece. Thats a lot of money wasted if you don't get lashes. Especially because with MAC lashes you have to form them, and cut them, they are a lot of work for a beginner to lashes. If you know lashes buy MAC lashes or the Make Up Forever lashes, you can get endless uses out of em, if you care for them.

13. After applying the lash (don't wind it out while its drying-Sleeping Beauty) apply a coat of liquid liner in Pervursion to cover the band and make it appear seamless.

14. Apply Foundation. Let it set for a minute. Use MAC's So Sweet So Easy Cremeblend Blush (MAC in Lillyland-limited Edition-soft yellow pink) to apples of cheeks.

15. Apply MAC's blush in Well Dressed (immaculate pink-satin) over the apples of cheeks with the MAC 187 (duo fibre face brush) to the apples, and blend well into hairline.

16. Set the foundation with setting powder, but not over cheek color.

17. Use Too Faced Candelight powder (champagne color glittery highlighter) to forehead, cheeks that are directly under eyes, and chin.

18. Next apply Urban Decay's 24/7 lip crayon in Naked, shade and contour the mouth in.

19. Next apply Too Faced lipstick in Marcia, Marcia, Marcia (1970's pink) over the pencil.

20. Next top off the look in a Disney esque way with MAC's Dazzleglass in Like Venus (bubblegum pink with red pearl).

*Note-There are a lot of fun girly products in this look that would make great additional staples especially for a make up collector. There are both a good variey of nudes and brights in the Alice In Wonderland Book Of Shadows by Urban Decay, the palette travels well, has all the colors needed for a trip, day or night, its drawer is tight, so its contents shouldn't break easily on the flight or ride. The MAC Well Dressed blush looks great on everyone, and MAC's Dazzleglasses are amazing, great color options, Dazzleglasses are what mde me in love with MAC, and they smell like vanilla, but they don't make me sick like NYX lipglosses which taste like cherry medicine....bleh...
