Hope you enjoy my blog!
So this is my first look using anything from MAC To The Beach. I am super excited about this collection, especially Sweet & Punchy eyeshadow. I almost didn't buy Sweet & Punchy because I thought for sure I had a duplicate of it, being the green and blue girl I am. but I didn't have Sweet & Punchy. I do own MAC's mineralize eyeshadow in Fresh Green Mix, and MAC's eyeshadow in Lucky Green. I also own the Spring Color Forecast crushed stack #2, which contains a Sumptuous Olive pigment near dupe. So I did consider this buy frivolous and unneccessary at the time.
I got it home and carefully swatched it next to my greens...Lucky Green is soooo much cooler in tone than Sweet & Punchy. Sweet & Punchy has a strong yellow base. Fresh Green Mix mineralize eyeshadow is well...a mineralize, the texture is signifacantly different than a Veluxe Pearl.
I love Sweet & Punchy so much it is one of my favorite items in the collection, not only that, I think I need a back up of it.
Sooooo on with the look....
1. Prep the skin by applying moisturizer.
2. Condition lips.
3. Apply Urban Decay Primer Potion to the lids and up to the brow bone as well.
4. Using the MAC 227 brush apply MAC eyeshadow in Blanc Type (nude pale biege matte2 formula) to the brow bone for a highlight color.
5. Apply MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly (matte nude biege) to the lower lid gently patting it on with your fingertip.
6. Apply a thick line of Float On By Eye Kohl (MAC To The Beach-deep turquoise liner) and go down as far as possible to the lash line.
7. Blend it out with the MAC 219 pencil for a softer edge.
8. Apply MAC's Sweet & Punchy eyeshadow with the MAC 239 (paddle brush) over the Float On By Eye Kohl and onto the lid, and a little into the crease. Pack it on, don't brush or sweep.
9. Add more definition to the eye with a cool deep kelly green matte shadow (Coastal Scents original 88 matte palette) with the 219 create an outer <> on either eye. Using the 224 blender brush blend inward. Pack on more color if you over blend in that same shape.
10. Apply a blackened forest green shadow (Coastal Scents original matte 88 palette) with the 219, once again repeat the step.
11. Reline the upper lash line with Float On By Eye Kohl.
12. Using MAC's 227 and Blanc Type blend downward, and blend into the crease, and smooth away any rough edges.
13. Using the edge of the MAC 227 or perhaps a smaller brush if neccessary take MAC's eyeshadow in Crystal Avalanche (shimmery pearly white) and apply into the inner corner tear duct to open the eye. Also place in the center of the lid to open the pupil.
14. Apply MAC's Fascinating Eye Kohl (matte white) to the waterline for optimum pop, and summer bright awakeness.
15. Using MAC's Eye Kohl in Float On By apply to the lower lash line, and stop where the lower lashes stop.
16. Smudge the 219 brush into the lashes, and smudge out the harsh line.
17. Using MAC's Sweet & Punchy eyeshadow and a bright matte lime green from the Coastal Scents original 88 matte palette blend the two colors together into the MAC 219 brush and apply on top of the Float On By Eye Kohl in the lower lash line to set it, and brighten the line.
18. Using Bare Mineral's Define A Lash in Black apply several coats to top and bottom lashes.
19. Using Ardell's Fashion Lashes in 112 (black) these are small baby bottom lashes apply with a clear lash adhesive, adhere as close as possible to the lower lash line.
20. Apply foundation.
21. Before setting with powder apply MAC's Creme Bronzer in Weekend (MAC To The Beach) into the cheek bone and anywhere else you want to contour. I like the 130 for this.
22. Using MAC's blush in Hipness (MAC To The Beach & Fafi Collections-pinky coral with white pearl-frost finish) to the cheeks with the MAC 131, or whatever blush brush you like.
23. Apply MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Comfort in the E shape to the face with a kabuki brush.
24. Using Make Up Forever's Aqua Lip Liner in 18C (coral pink) define the lips and shade in.
25. Using Benefits Silkyfinish lipstick in Jing-A-Ling (nude shimmer pink) over the top. These are similar to Slimshines from MAC.
26. Apply MAC's Lipglass in Easy Lounger (MAC To The Beach-baby pink with multidimensional pearl) on top.
*All These products weren't purchased in one day. Not even the MAC To The Beach items. Plus I saved for the collection.
